Fundraiser Manager
of the Creative Institute Trenčín

Creative Institute Trenčín is a newly-formed organisation that is responsible for the implementation of European Capital of Culture Trenčín 2026. In close collaboration with stakeholders in the private, public and third sector, we focus on the development of culture and creative industries in the city and Europe, as well as fulfilling the goals of Trenčín 2026. Our team is looking for an experienced and diligent Fundraiser to lead the fundraising team and strategy on national and international level.


Experience and skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a fundraising position

  • Track record of previous successful grant writing experience especially in the EU grant structures

  • Excellent Slovak and English language skills

  • Attention to details

  • Very well organised and working towards deadlines in a busy workload

  • Great personal and communication skills

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Good knowledge of national and international grant structures 

  • Formulating strategic and long-term fundraising plans

  • Writing of national and international grant applications, especially in Creative Europe and Erasmus programmes 

  • Conduct appropriate planning ahead of submitting an application

  • Conducting of an independent research of new funding opportunities and connecting them to the programme and overall Trenčín2026 goals

  • Liaise with and engage international project partners, set up base relationships and processes 

  • Contribute to the development of clear and compelling proposals for grant donors, gathering relevant information for bids

  • Collaborate with international relations manager, director and programme manager

  • Follow up on application once submitted

  • Conducting research on funders and grant programmes

  • Develop and nurture relationships with funding organisations, identify needed strategic conversations

  • Write and submit reports

  • Attend training and events as relevant

  • Supervising staff - fundraising team



  • Basic salary component: 1600 € gross per month

  • Full time
