Apply with your proposal of urban intervention, win 1,200 EUR and be part of GO! 2025!
The Municipality of Nova Gorica as a part of GO! 2025 – The European Capital of Culture, invites artists to create proposals for urban interventions as wall paintings or wall installations. In May and June 2021, border area of Nova Gorica will host two major and important events: the Giro d’Italia and the Biking Race of Slovenia, which will attract wide attention from the international public.
The European Capital of Culture therefore wants to permanently mark these two sporting events with artistic interventions that will brighten up the route along the border and give the opportunity to creatively present the area and its cross-border life.
The theme of artistic interventions is freedom of movement, with priority given to proposals that also include the themes of cycling, borderlessness or Europe.
Subject of the Public Call
Through the Public Call the jury will select proposals for artistic interventions for five locations in the border area of Nova Gorica (photos on the Nova Gorica webpage). The selected artists will receive a fee of €1,200 for each intervention, and all material costs described in the application form will be reimbursed, but may not exceed €500 per intervention.
